What this site collects.

Plain English, no legalese. This page covers what harperstudio.co collects, why, who else sees it, and how to stop it.

The short version

Analytics and the contact form. Nothing else.

I don't sell data, I don't run ads, and I don't build profiles on visitors. Two things collect information here, and both are listed below.

  • Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views, referrers and rough country. It sets no cookies and does not track you across sites.
  • Google Analytics 4 measures how the site is used: pages viewed, how you arrived, browser and approximate location. It does set cookies. Google does not receive your full IP address, and I have not enabled advertising or remarketing features.
  • The contact form collects the name, email, organization and message you type. Submissions are delivered by FormSubmit, so your message passes through their service on the way to my inbox. I use it to reply to you, and for nothing else.
  • Hosting. The site is served by GitHub Pages, and DNS runs through Cloudflare. Both keep ordinary server logs, which include IP addresses, as any web server does.
  • Fonts. Typefaces load from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google to fetch them.
  • I never receive or store payment details through this site.

How to opt out

Turn on your browser's Do Not Track or tracking protection, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. Blocking either script does nothing to how the site works. If you would rather not use the form at all, email or call me instead, using the details on the contact page.

Your information, on request

Ask me and I will tell you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. There is no process to go through: email alex@harperstudio.co and I will handle it myself.
